Emily Abbott and the Lancers will host the Brock Badgers in the OUA West Semi-Finals on Saturday night.
The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball team is set to begin defense of their OUA Provincial Championship when they host the Brock Badgers on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre.

After receiving a bye through the first round of the playoffs, the Lancers will host the Badgers in the OUA West Semi-Finals on Saturday.

The game will be carried live on television locally on TV Cogeco at 6pm. For fans outside of the region, the semi-final match-up will also be carried live on the internet via webcast at: http://www.ssncanada.ca/.

The Lancers are coming off another outstanding regular season that saw them finish with a 21-1 record in conference play and win their second straight OUA West Division regular season title.

Coach Vallee's squad is currently ranked #2 in Canada and they will be looking to make a return trip to the CIS National Championship Tournament this year in Hamilton.

The Badgers come into Saturday night's game after defeating the McMaster Marauders 72-66 in the OUA West Quarter Finals on Wednesday night. Brock got 21 points from Hilary Woodside as they came from two points down in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.

Brock finished the regular season tied for third place in the conference with a 13-9 record.

In their regular season series, the Lancers swept both games winning at home 80-73 in early January and 72-50 later that month in St. Catherines.

The story for Windsor this season continues to be the strong play of rookie forward Jessica Clemencon. The native of St. Rambert, France finished the season sixth in the province in scoring with 15.7 points per game.

The Lancers have also gotten strong play at the guard position from fifth year senior point guard Shavaun Reaney (10.9 ppg and 4.0 apg) and shooting guard Bojana Kovacevic (11.9 ppg).

Be sure to catch the OUA West Women's Basketball Semi-Finals this Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre. The Lancers will tip-off against the Badgers at 6pm.
