Men's Basketball captures silver medal at Wilson Cup final

The Lancer men’s basketball team captured the silver medal at the Wilson Cup on Saturday night with a 71-52 loss to the Carleton Ravens at the Ravens Nest in Ottawa, ON.
 
The Lancers will now head to the National Championship tournament which kicks off in Ottawa on Friday March 19th.
 
The Ravens came out on fire in the first quarter, doubling up the Lancers in the first ten minutes of play 22-11.
 
Windsor fired back in the second, outscoring the Ravens 21-15 in the frame to close the gap and head into the half only down by five, 37-32.
 
The Lancers struggled to make a basket in the second half, scoring only 20 points over the final 20 minutes. Windsor shot a rough 32.2% overall from the field and 35% from behind the three point line, compared to the Ravens 47.2% from the field and 41.2% from behind the arch.
 
Windsor also had difficulty on the boards as Carleton out-rebounded Windsor 47-17.
 
Isaac Kuon led the Lancers with 14 points, while Andre Smyth chipped in 10. Rookie Lien Phillip had a team high seven rebounds.
