Vandenbroucke named Associate Athletic Director

Windsor, ON - The University of Windsor has named Eric Vandenbroucke as the Associate Director, Athletics & Recreational Services. The appointment is effective November 3, 2014.
 
Vandenbroucke currently serves as the Marketing Manager for Athletics & Recreational Services (ARS), a position he has held since 2002. Prior to joining ARS, Eric was the Human Kinetics Development Officer from 2001 to 2002.
 
"I am thrilled to be named as the Associate Athletic Director here at the University of Windsor," commented Vandenbroucke. "It's been a privilege to work in this athletic department for the past 13 years and I look forward to continuing to work alongside a terrific group of dedicated coaches, student-athletes and colleagues."
 
A University of Windsor alumnus (M.B.A. 2001, B. Comm. 2000), Vandenbroucke has had a significant impact within the athletic department in driving revenues, elevating the Lancers brand and in leading the hosting of events and major championships.  In particular he has played a key leadership role in the hosting of CIS Championships in Women's Basketball  and Track & Field, OUA Championships in Men's and Women's Basketball , Track & Field and Men's & Women's Ice Hockey.  He also played a lead role in the marketing and sponsorship activities surrounding the University of Windsor hosting of the 2005 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships, the 2007 Athletics Canada Senior Championships and the 2008 Athletics Canada Olympic / Para Olympic Trials.
 
Vandenbroucke currently is a member of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Sport Committee and has held previous OUA leadership roles as the OUA Hockey Convener, member of the OUA Marketing Committee and with the OUA Strategic Planning working group.  At the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) level he remains a member of the CIS Marketing Committee.
