Kennedy named OUA FB Offensive Player of the Week

The fifth-year quarterback threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns in Windsor's game vsWestern this past Saturday, giving him 79 career touchdown passes and tying the OUA career touchdown passing record.

Kennedy added 109 rushing yards on the afternoon, and despite the loss the Lancers and Kennedy also accomplished their preseason goal of hosting an OUA playoff game, something the school had not done since the 2006 season.

The 79 touchdown passes also ties him with Josh Sacobie of Ottawa for second most in CIS history – former St. Mary's Husky quarterback Chris Flynn holds the record with 87.

Kennedy also hit the 700 mark in pass completions on Saturday, finishing his career with 710 – good for second all-time in OUA football – and became only the fourth player in CIS history, and third in OUA history, to reach 10,000 passing yards, finishing with 10,004.
