The Windsor Lancers are pleased to announce that the Big Three –
Josh Collins,
Lien Phillip &
Enrico Diloreto- have been named OUA men's basketball west division all-stars, as announced by Ontario University Athletics Thursday.
Phillip and Diloreto were named as OUA first team all-stars, while Collins joins the pair as a second team all-star.
Phillip, a fifth-year player out of St. Mark's, Grenada has been named to the OUA west first team for the third year in a row. Phillip posted 12.7 boards per game to lead the OUA, and chipped in 16.1 points to average a double-double on the season. Phillip has been a model of consistency throughout his career, and that was confirmed this season when the six-foot-seven forward posted a double-double performance in 16 of 22 games.
Diloreto earns his first team selection by leading the Lancers in scoring and finishing in the top ten in the OUA. The fifth-year guard averaged a career-high 18.1 points per game for the Lancers, en route to a second place finish in the division. The London, ON native made 37 three-pointers on the year and added 2.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game for the Lancers. Diloreto's recognition on the first team comes in his final year, and marks his only appearance on the number one squad after being named to the second team last season.
Collins was the engine that kept the Windsor offensive machine running. The fifth-year guard led the OUA with 5.8 assists per game, while also adding a career-high 12.1 points. The Thornhill, Ont., native is a second team all-star for the third time in his career.
Congratulations Lien, Enrico and Josh!
