The Department of Athletics and Lancer Football program are pleased to have Matt Gayer named an OUA football first-team all-star, as announced today by Ontario University Athletics (OUA).
 
Gayer, a third-year Criminology major, led OUA with 45 solo tackles and finished second in the conference with 55 overall tackles. He was named to the all-star team at the SAM linebacker position.
 
The 5-foot-9 190 lbs linebacker also had 3 interceptions and one touchdown in eight games for the Lancers, and was previously recognized to the OUA all-rookie team in 2013.
