TORONTO - The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team is the second-ranked team heading into this week's CIS men's basketball Final 8 in Toronto.

The seedings were announced Sunday afternoon for the 2015 CIS tourney set to get underway on Thursday at the Mattamy Athletic Complex in Toronto. The gold-medal final is scheduled for next Sunday at 3:00p.m., live on Sportsnet 360 and SportsNey One.

For the sixth time in eight years, the reigning four-time national champion Carleton University Ravens are seeded number one heading into the ArcelorMittal Dofasco CIS men's basketball championship

Rounding out the list of participating teams are the second-seeded Windsor Lancers (OUA finalists), No. 3 Ottawa Gee-Gees (OUA bronze medallists), No. 4 Victoria Vikes (Canada West champs), No. 5 Dalhousie Tigers (AUS champs), No. 6 Bishop's Gaiters (RSEQ champs), No. 7 Ryerson Rams (OUA 4th-place finishers) and No. 8 Saskatchewan Huskies (Canada West finalists).

The Lancers will open the national championships against the seventh-ranked and tournament host Ryerson Rams on Thursday at 6:00pm Eastern time. Â
Thursday's other quarter-final matchups include Saskatchewan vs. Carleton in the opener at 11 a.m., followed by Dalhousie vs. Victoria at 1 p.m., and Bishop's vs. Ottawa in the 8 p.m. nightcap
