Lancers to host NBA all-star challenge

The Windsor Lancers and NBA Canada are pleased to announce that they will be hosting a skills competition on Saturday January 16, 2016 at the St. Denis Centre.

If you have ever dreamt of being an NBA all-star, now is your chance! Members of the Windsor-Essex community that are 14 years of age or older, as of January 16th, are invited to compete in a dunk contest, a 3-point contest, or a skills challenge for a chance to compete at the NBA all-star game in Toronto in February.

Top performers from Saturday's qualifier will advance and compete in the next round, held during the women's and men's basketball games that night against the Algoma Thunderbirds starting at 6:00pm.

NBA Legend Morris Peterson (former Toronto Raptor) will be on site at the Skills Challenge and will also be at the men's game that night.

The event is free to enter, with registration beginning at 11:30am at the St. Denis Centre. Any questions or pre-registrations can be directed to jleeman@uwindsor.ca.
