Lancer Basketball
This past weekend the men's and women's basketball teams began their 2016 seasons on the road against the nationally ranked Brock Badgers. The Lancer Women had a great game against the No. 7 Badgers, securing the 67-63 victory with a huge 4th quarter push. Cheyanne Roger led the attack with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Sophomore Carly Steer was the hot hand of the night, contributing 17 points in the win and knocking down four straight three-pointers at the beginning of the fourth quarter to help put together a 13-2 run. With the win the Lancers move to a 5-3 record, sitting atop the West Division standings.

The Lancer men had a tougher contest against the No. 4 Badgers. Though coming within single digits early in the fourth, the Badgers proved to be too much for the Lancers and came away with an 86-79 victory.
