Women's BasketballDespite leading the game at half, the Lancer women were defeated by the #6 McMaster Marauders last week by a score of 68-62. With the loss, the Lancers drop to 6-4 in conference play. This week they will look to secure two wins against the Laurier Golden Hawks and the Waterloo Warriors. On Wednesday, the Lancers will travel to Waterloo to face the 6-5 Golden Hawks. In their previous meeting, Windsor defeated Laurier in their season opener, 85-80. The Lancers will rely on strong defensive performances from
Cheyanne Roger and
Andrea Kiss, who are averaging 10.4 and 9.5 rebounds/game respectively. Tip-off is set for 6:00pm.

On Saturday, the women will participate in Lancer Super Saturday action against the visiting Waterloo Warriors at 3:00PM. The two teams faced off at the beginning of the season with the Lancers taking down the Warriors 88-63. Nicole Schlick has been stellar for the Warriors with a FG% of 52.1, leading the team to a conference record of 2-9 - good for 4th in the OUA West. Men's BasketballThe men's basketball team will look to rebound this week after a tough 106-74 loss to the No.6 McMaster Marauders last week in Hamilton. With the loss, the Lancers drop to 5-6 in conference play. Hoping to notch two more wins this week, the Lancers will travel to Waterloo on Wednesday to face the Laurier Golden Hawks before returning to home court Saturday to host the Waterloo Warriors. In previous OUA action the Lancers defeated both the Golden Hawks and the Warriors, with scores of 88-77 and 91-81, respectively. Laurier currently holds onto first place in the OUA West with a 6-5 record, while Waterloo sits at 1-10 and last place in the division.

Alex Campbell will look to lead the team past Laurier and Waterloo this weekend. He is currently ranked 4th in the OUA for points per game, totaling 21.0. The Lancers will have to be sharp on defense for both games this week but especially on Saturday as Waterloo's Mike Perelra is leading the league in rebounds per game with 11.9.

Women's VolleyballLast week, the Women's volleyball team jumped to a 7-4 conference record after defeating the Brock Badgers in three straight sets. The Lancers are currently sitting in third place in the OUA West heading into this weekend's action. The Blue and Gold will host a pair of games Friday and Saturday night against the No. 6 McMaster Marauders and the Guelph Gryphons, respectively. In previous meetings, the Lancers suffered losses to both teams in straight sets.

This time around, Windsor will look for
Shannon Dean to lead the team to victory. Dean is currently ranked 5th in the OUA for Hitting Percentage (.348) and 4th in service aces per set (0.56). Defensively,
Emily Durand and
Carleigh Bailey are having stellar seasons for the Lancers. Durand has totaled 155 digs, averaging 3.97 a set and Bailey is averaging 2.46 digs a set. McMaster is being led by Joanna JedrzeJewska who is averaging 3.50 kills per set (2nd in OUA), and 147 kills (3rd  in OUA). Defensively, Guelph is seeing stellar performances from Kristen Almhjell, who has totaled 204 digs and averages 4.53 a set.

Men's VolleyballAfter a week-long break, the Lancer men's volleyball team is excited to get back on the court. This week they will host the No. 1 McMaster Marauders (14-0) on Friday evening and the Guelph Gryphons (4-8) on Saturday. The Lancer men, who sit at a record of 3-9, are led offensively by
Josh Edwards who is averaging a hitting percentage of .396, good for 2nd in the OUA. Windsor will look to combat the strong offensive play of Mac and Guelph with great defensive efforts from
Shawn Reaume and Matthew De Benito, who lead the team in digs with 81 and 63 respectively. McMaster's Stephen Maar is leading the league in kills per set (4.49) and hitting percentage (.423). Guelph is led offensively by Zach Newman and Josh Green who are averaging 2.79 and 2.70 kills per set.

Women's HockeyThe women's hockey team split a pair of games this past weekend in Windsor against the Nipissing Lakers and the Laurentian Voyageurs. On Friday, the Lancers defeated the Lakers 5-3 before dropping their Saturday game to the Voyageurs 3-4. After the weekend, the Lancers sit at a record of 5-1-10-1.Â
This coming weekend they will hit the road for a pair of games in Toronto. On Friday they will face the Ryerson Rams, and Saturday they will battle the Toronto Varsity Blues. The blue and gold will look to sweep the series against the Rams, having defeated them 5-0 in previous OUA action. The Rams are led by Emma Rutherford and Stephanie Chiste, both with 5 points apiece. The last time the Lancers faced Toronto they suffered their only overtime loss, 4-5. Toronto is currently led by Taylor Day with 16 points off 5 goals and 7 assists.

The Lancers have been dominating the OUA player rankings, leading the league in 2 categories while having a presence in 5. Erinn Noseworthy is having a stand out season, leading the league in points (24) and sitting in 4
th for assists (13) and goals (11), and tied for 3
rd for power play goals (3). Other Lancer leaders are Krystin Lawrence (2nd in points (22), 3rd in assists (14)), Shawna Lesperance (3rd for points (20), and first in goals (12)), and Ingrid Sandven is tied for 3rd with a win percentage of .667.

On Wednesday, the Lancers fell 1-2 to the Golden Hawks before securing their 11th win of the season against the Rams on Saturday. The Lancers currently sit at 11-11-1 heading into their back-to-back home stands this weekend. On Friday night the Lancers will host the Toronto Varsity Blues. In their previous meeting the Lancers dropped a 5-6 shootout decision to the hosts. On Saturday, the Lancers will celebrate their graduating seniors before puck drop in their final regular season home game of the season. Both games will begin at 7:30pm.

Eric Noel who have earned 26 and 23 points respectively. Toronto's Christian Finch is the player to watch for the Rams; he's totaled 27 points off 8 goals and 19 assists. Track and FieldThe nationally ranked track and field teams are both continuing their stellar starts to the season after excellent performances at the Doug Hansen Open in Saginaw, MI. The Lancers brought home 14 medals, including 6 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze, while Stephanie Smith broke a Lancer school record for the second week in a row. Other medal performers were Taylor McArthur, Emily Omahen, Sarah Mitton, Rachel Wolfs, and Christopher Waugh. The Lancers have a busy weekend of competing ahead of them as they split up and head to the McGill Team Challenge and the Findlay Open (women's pent athletes) on Friday and Saturday, and the York Team Challenge and Spire Open on Saturday.
