Bellemore named MVP, Lancers claim silver

Led by fifth year senior Corey Bellemore, the Lancer men's cross country team captured a silver medal at the OUA Cross Country championships Sunday morning in Toronto.

The Lancer women also had a great day finishing seventh overall in the team standings

In his final OUA championship run, Bellemore cruised to first place in the men's race with an impressive time of 30:35.8 to claim gold and be named an OUA all-star and men's MVP.

Alex Ullman also had an impressive run, placing 12th overall in a time of 31:21.4 to be named a second team all-star.
Ā 
The women were led by Stefanie Smith who finished the 6km course sixth overall with a time of 20:28.4 to be named a first team all-star.

The Lancers will now break until November 11th when they travel to Quebec City for the CIS Championships.
