Women's HockeyThe women's hockey team split a pair of games this past weekend to move their conference record to 7-1-11-2. On Friday, the Lancers hosted the Laurier Golden Hawks and defeated the visitors in convincing fashion before falling to the CIS #1 Guelph Gryphons, 5-2 on Sunday in Guelph. This week, the Lancers will look to close out their 2015-16 home season with a pair of victories against the 10-2-8-1 Waterloo Warriors and 11-1-8-1 Western Mustangs. In their previous meetings, the Blue and Gold fell to both the Mustangs and Warriors. Hoping to even the series', the Lancers will look for stellar performances from their four OUA ranked players, Erinn Noseworthy, Shawna Lesperance, Krystin Lawrence and Ingrid Sandven. The Lancers continue to dominate the OUA player rankings, leading the league in points, goals and assists, while also making their presence known through power-play goals and win percentage.
The Warriors are led by Rachel Marriott and Paula LaGamba with 12 and 10 goals, respectively. Other key players for Waterloo are forward Kaitlyn McDonnell and goalie Stephanie Sluys. McDonnell is ranked second in the OUA for assists with 15, while Sluys holds onto a 1.38 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage. Notable players for the Mustangs are Brittany Clapham with 7 goals, 9 assists and Kendra Broad with 7 goals and 8 assists.
Both game are set to begin at 7:30pm and will be aired LIVE on
www.oua.tv. Saturday, the Lancers will recognize their graduating seniors before puck drop at the South Windsor Arena.
Track and FieldThe Lancers are coming off another stellar weekend of competing in Akron, OH. Two more school records were broken by
Corey Bellemore in the mile and Chris Waugh in Pole Vault. On top of this, the Lancers came away with 4 medals – a gold for
Alex Ullman, silver's for Bellemore and
Taylor McArthur, and a bronze for Chris Waugh.
After four weeks on the road, the nationally ranked Lancers are excited to bring their talents back to home turf as they host the Team Challenge this Friday and Saturday. The meet will be aired LIVE on

CurlingThe Lancer curling team will travel to Guelph this weekend to compete at the OUA Championships. The Lancer women are lead by skip Katie Bolt and fifth year veteran Amy Dymond, while the men's four man team is led by skip Shawn King. For live results throughout the championships, please

Women's BasketballRiding a four game winning streak after a pair of victories this past weekend against Laurentian and Nipissing, the Lancer women's basketball team is back in the CIS Top Ten and is ranked No. 10 heading into an exciting weekend of play. On Friday, the Blue and Gold will travel to Toronto to face the 2-12 York Lions. Key players for York are Ishanaa Seupersadsingh and Taylor Ross, who average 11.4ppg and 5.3rpg respectively. On Saturday, the Lancers will face the Queens Gaels in a special NBA All-Star OUA feature. The game, which was originally scheduled to take place in Kingston, will now be hosted in Toronto as part of the All-Star weekend festivities. In pre-season action, the Lancers and Gaels faced off with the Blue and Gold narrowly defeating Queens. The Gaels are led by Jenny Wright and Emily Hazlett who are averaging 11.7 and 10.1 points per game. Defensively, Queens' Robyn Pearson is dominating the boards, averaging 11.4 a game.
The Lancers will rely on strong performances from Cheyanne Roger and Emily Prevost this weekend. After losing Andrea Kiss to injury, the Lancers will rely on Carly Steer offensively and first years Alyssa Cerino and Orian Amsalem to fill the defensive void. Friday's game is set to tip off at 6:00pm, while Saturday goes at 4:30pm and can be seen LIVE on

Men's BasketballThe men's basketball team earned a pair of wins this past weekend to move them to 9-6 in conference play. On Friday, the Lancers defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs 82-62 before dominating the Nipissing Lakers 93-71 on Saturday. The Lancers now head down the 401 for games in Toronto and Kingston this weekend. Friday, the Lancers will face the 3-11 York Lions and Saturday they will travel to Queens to take on the 9-5 Gaels.
The Lancer attack is led by Alex Campbell, who is ranked 4th in the OUA for points per game with 21.4. Isiah Osbourne and Marko Kovac are also key for the Lancers, each averaging 14.1 and 11.7ppg respectively. The Lancers will look to shut down York's Shane Reader and Nathan Culbreath, who have 13.9ppg and 13.8ppg. Key players for Queens are Sukhpreet Singh with 23.3ppg and Andrew Maverty who averages 48.6 percent from the three.

Men's HockeyThe men's hockey team travels to Toronto this weekend to face the 16-6-4 York Lions. The Lancers are coming off a weekend split, defeating the Brock Badgers 7-1 last Friday before falling to the Western Mustangs 1-5 on Saturday. The Lancers are looking to even the series against the York Lions this Friday and end their 2015/16 regular season with a victory.
The Lancers, who have earned a 13-11-3 conference record this season are led by Justice Dundas, Eric Noel and Dylan Denomme who have 28, 27 and 26 points respectively. Dundas leads the team in goals with 13 while Denomme leads the team with 18 assists. The Lions are led by Derek Shepherd, who has totaled 30 points this season off 10 goals and 20 assists. Trevow Petersen has been dynamite for York, leading the team with 16 goals for a point's total of 28.

Men's VolleyballThe men's volleyball team is riding a three game winning streak heading into their weekend games against RMC and Queens. In their final home games of 2016 this past weekend, the Lancers defeated the Nipissing Lakers 3-1 on Saturday before closing out the York Lions 3-2 in a Sunday afternoon nail bitter. With the wins, the Lancers have moved to 8th place in the OUA, one spot shy of a playoff berth. This Saturday, the Lancers will travel to Kingston and look to sweep the series against the RMC Paladins. RMC is currently ranked last in the OUA with a 0-7 record. Sunday, the Lancers will look to upset the 12-5 Queens Gaels and even the series between the teams; back in November, the Gaels took the first match 3-1.
The Lancers will rely on a strong offensive game from Josh Edwards, who now leads the OUA with a .418 hitting percentage. Defensively, Edwards and John Moate combine for 88 blocks this season, and Shawn Reaume and Blasé Wasser have earned 113 and 109 digs a piece. Notable players for Queens are Marko Dakic offensively and Scott Brunet defensively. Dakic has totaled 209 kills this season with 3.67 kills/set, while Brunet has earned 62 total blocks, which accounts for half of his teams blocks. Game time for both games is 3:00pm.
Women's VolleyballThe women's volleyball team extended their win streak to three with a pair of wins against the Nipissing Lakers and the York Lions this past weekend. With the victories, the Lancers sit at 10-5 in conference play and third in the OUA West. Shannon Dean was stellar for the Lancers earning her this week's OUA Athlete of the Week honours.Dean will look to lead her team past the Lakehead Thunderwolves this weekend in a pair of games in Thunder Bay. Lakehead sits in fifth in the OUA West with a record of 5-12. Dean currently ranks 4th in the OUA for kills with 178, and third for hitting percentage with .379. Other notable Lancers are Emily McCloskey with 46 total blocks, Emily Durand with 214 digs and Lauren Stirling with 470 assists. The Thunderwolves are led by Leah Mousseau and Kailan Robinson with 122 and 121 kills respectively. Defensively, Alyssa Genereux has tallied 222 digs this season.
Saturday's game is set to begin at 2pm, while Sunday's game is at 12pm.Â
