Track and FieldThe Windsor Lancers Track and Field team will kick off a busy weekend of Lancer sports on Friday as they host the OUA Championships. Heading into the weekend, the Lancer men are a top the CIS rankings and the women sit strong in 7th. The competition will begin on Friday and will continue through until Saturday. Looking to reclaim their OUA title, the men will be looking for great performances from distance runners
Corey Bellemore and
Alex Ullman, as well as pole vaulters
Milos Savic and Chris Waugh and multi-eventer Brandon Wilhelm. On the women's side, Stephanie Smith and Jordana Badley-Castello will be key for the women.

Women's VolleyballIts playoff time for women's volleyball! The Lancers finished the regular season with an 11-8 record, securing them a spot in the OUA playoffs. The Lancers will open the post season against the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton on Friday evening.

During the season, the Lancers and Marauders met twice, with the Blue and Gold falling twice to their opponent 3-0 and 3-2. Looking to build off their last match, the Lancers will rely on fourth year middle Shannon Dean on offense. Dean finished the season ranked in the OUA Top 5 in five categories. She led the OUA in total points with 285.5, off 4.1 points per set average. She also totaled 27 blocks, good for fourth in the league as well as 215 kills, also placing her fourth in the OUA. McMaster is led by MH Taylor Brisebois and OH Joanna Jedrzejewska with 224.5 and 209.5 points respectively.

Women's BasketballThe women's basketball team is looking to extend their win streak to three this coming weekend with a pair of games against the Lakehead Thunderwolves and Algoma Thunderbirds. Last Saturday, the Lancers moved back into the win column, defeating the Western Mustangs 76-64 to even the series. With the win, the Lancers move to 13-5 on the season, tied for first in the OUA west with the Mustangs.

This weekend the Lancers will close out the regular season beginning Saturday evening against the 6-11 Thunderwolves. Lakehead is led by Bridget O'Rielly and Katelyn Andrea with 11.5ppg and 10.6ppg respectively. Andrea has been dominating the boards for Lakehead, averaging 8.4 rebounds per game. Prior to the game the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors.

On Sunday, the Lancers will before tip-off against the Algoma Thunderbirds. Windsor earned the victory in the first contest between the two teams and will be looking to sweep the series with a strong performance from Cheyanne Roger and Emily Prevost. Roger is averaging 15 points per game, while Prevost is right behind her with 14.7. Defensively, Roger and Prevost are also leading the Lancers with 8.6 and 9.2 rebounds per game respectively. Algoma, who currently sits at a 1-17 record, will look for sharp shooting from Karissa Kajorinne and a strong post presence from Laura Meadows to compete with the Lancers.

Men's BasketballThe men's basketball team extended their win streak to 7 games with a victory on the road against the Western Mustangs. With the win, the Lancers move to 12-5 in conference play, securing them first place in the OUA west.

This weekend, they will close out their 2015-16 season with a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday against the Lakehead Thunderwolves and the Algoma Thunderbirds, with Saturday's game tipping off at 8:30pm. Prior to the game on Saturday, the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors Alex Campbell and Kahame Msiska. The Lakehead men are led by offensively by Bacarius Dinkins with 17.6ppg and Henry Tan with 17.1ppg, and defensively by Dinkins with 8.9rpg.

On Sunday, the Lancers will face the Thunderbirds for the second time this season. In their prior meeting, the Lancers came away with a six point victory against the 'Birds. They will look to sweep the series this weekend with strong performances from Alex Campbell, Isiah Osbourne and Marko Kovac, who are averaging 22.1, 14.6 and 11.7 points per game respectively. Algoma is led by Sean Clendinning with 13.7ppg and Andre Barber with 13.1ppg.
