Head Coach
Lucas Hodgson is pleased to announce the commitment of local recruit Paige Phills to the Lancer women's volleyball program.
Â
An outside hitter with Riverside high school and the South County Volleyball Club, Phills is an overall athlete that Coach Hodgson is eager to have join the Blue & Gold. "We are very excited to add Paige to our roster for the 2017-18 season," said Hodgson. "Keeping top local talent is very important for our program and Paige fits that to a tee. Her length and athleticism is going to make her a tough stop in OUA."
Â
During her career with Riverside, Phills has been named the volleyball MVP each year since the ninth grade, and was named the 2015-16 outstanding senior female athlete. Phills helped the Rebels capture an OFSAA silver medal in 2016, while also being named the team MVP for the track & field team.
Â
With South County, Phills has twice been named team MVP. Once while with the 14U team, and then the following year as a member of the 15U team.
Â
As an honour roll student, the Windsor, ON native found the University of Windsor a perfect fit both academically and athletically. "The University of Windsor and the Human Kinetics program is exactly what I was looking for," said Phills. "The team is a great bunch of girls, and I will be able to focus on my education while still playing the sport I love."
