Adam Wagner, head coach of the Windsor Lancer golf program, is pleased to announce the summer evaluation camp schedule for the upcoming 2017 fall season.
 
All interested golfers are required to fill out a recruitment form online prior to our evaluation camp, by clicking here. Both new and returning players interested in attending the summer evaluation camp must register online.
 
To be eligible for Intercollegiate Sports, individuals must have a minimum of 3 full or equivalent courses. Graduate and transfer students, with some exceptions, are eligible for most sports.  For more information and to ensure you are eligible to play please e-mail head coach Adam Wagner at awagner@uwindsor.ca.
 
The summer evaluation camp for both the Lancer men's and women's golf teams will take place at Ambassador Golf Club.  New this year players will have the option to attend the camp on Saturday July 29th, Sunday July 30th, Wednesday August 2nd or Thursday August 3rd.  Pairings and tee times will be sent out one week before each round.  Players must play a minimum of two 18 hole rounds but can play a maximum of 4 rounds.  Each player's best two rounds as well as previous tournament experience will be taken into consideration when selecting the team to be invited to try-outs. Selected players will be invited back for a final evaluation round on Sunday August 20th where the team will be selected following this round.  A mini-training camp will take place on Thursday August 31st and Friday September 1st.   Details to be released at a later date.
  
Cost associated with the summer evaluation camp will be $100.00 (including HST) payable to the University of Windsor. 
 
 "I am very excited about the upcoming season for the Lancer Golf program," said coach Wagner. "We have done a lot of recruiting for this year's team and I feel we have a solid group of returning players to go along with some new recruits.  I believe we are going to be able to contend for the OUA Championships this year."
 
The OUA season begins in mid-September and will conclude at the OUA Golf Championships hosted by the University of Ottawa October 13th to 15th.
