Kevin Hamlin, head coach of the University of Windsor Lancers men's hockey team is pleased to announce his team captains and a new addition to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
 
Veteran forward Blake Blondeel will once again serve as team captain while fellow veterans Justice Dundas, Kyle Hope and Kyle Haas will join him as assistant captains.  
 
"We are pleased to name these four as our team captains for next season," said Hamlin. "They are experienced and well respected student-athletes and they will provide valuable leadership for our big group of incoming freshmen this year."
 
In addition, Coach Hamlin is also pleased to name Kyle Makaric as an assistant coach with the men's hockey program. Coach Makaric will take over for Ryan Donally behind the bench in 2017-18.
 
"We are really excited to add Kyle to our coaching staff for the upcoming season," added Hamlin. "Kyle is a former Lancer and a bright young coach who we think will be a great addition to our staff."
 
The Lancers will kick-off their training camp on Tuesday, September 5th at 7:00pm at Central Park Athletics. Their pre-season schedule includes contests against Laurier, Waterloo, Western and Guelph. They'll also travel to the U.S. on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend for a pair of anticipated NCAA match-ups against Harvard University and Dartmouth University.
