Zimmerman named first team all-American

 WINDSOR ON – Junior Jack Zimmerman (Tecumseh ON) was voted to the Rawlings NCBA Division I all-American first team, as announced by the National Club Baseball Association on June 28, 2019.  The last University of Windsor Lancer to receive all-American distinction was Shortstop Colin Gordner in 2016 (NCBA Div II).
 
Zimmerman made 8 appearances on the mound during his junior season.  Zimmerman was 7-0 with a 0.51 earned run average in 55 innings pitched and struck out 72 batters (2nd in the NCBA DI), while holding the opposition to a .193 batting average.  The right-hander tallied two shutouts and five complete games with a WHIP of 0.84.
 
Zimmerman is studying Civil Engineering and carries a 82% average academically and has been on the Dean's Honour list in all of his Lancer Student-Athlete seasons.
