Brunet captures Bronze at U SPORTS Championships

Lancer sophomore Mandy Brunet captured a bronze medal in the women's triple jump on the final day of competition at the U SPORTS Championships Saturday in Edmonton. 

Her jump of 12.19m is a new personal best and claimed the Lancers lone medal of the championship. 

Overall, the Lancer men placed 15th overall while the women were 16th. 

On Friday, Anthony Atkinson had an impressive performance in the men's weight throw placing fourth overall in the event with a throw of 17.04m.
