Waterloo, ON - The No. 1 Lancer women's basketal team defeated the host Waterloo Warriors 76-60 on Wednesday at the PAC.

Windsor improves to 9-0 on the season and remains the only undefeated team in the OUA, while the Warriors fall to 3-7 on the year and are in third place in the OUA west division.

Korissa Williams led the Lancers with a game-high 26 points, seven points and five steals, while sophomore
Cheyanne Roger contributed 13 points and five rebounds.
Emily Prevost also had a strong defensive game with seven rebounds.

The Lancers led for the entire contest as they opened the game with an 11-2 run, with Williams scoring eight of the eleven. Windsor led 24-18 after the first ten minutes of play, en route to a 48-28 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Warriors picked up their game and equalled the scoring of the defending champs before out-scoring them 13-9 in the fourth quarter. However, it was not enough as the Lancers had built an exceptional lead in the first to hold on to the lead.

The Blue & Gold shot 45.1% from the field compared to the Warriors 36.4%. Rebounds were almost deadlocked, as the Lancers just beat out the Warriors 35-34.

Windsor will host the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm at the St. Denis Centre. The Golden Hawks are currently 9-1 on the year, and riding a nine game win streak to be tied with the Lancers for first place in the OUA west division.
