Windsor Lancers

The University of Windsor Stadium opened in 2005 and is the premier outdoor stadium facility in the Windsor-Essex County region.

With 2,000 permanent seats and capacity for over 10,000 spectators, the stadium in home to our Lancer football, soccer, and track & field teams.

Recognized as an outstanding multi-purpose facility, the stadium has played host to the 2005 Pan American Junior Games and the 2008 Canadian Olympic Trials for Track and Field.

The facility features an artificial turf field by Field Turf, a word leader in artificial turf installations. The stadium's turf field is the only artificial field in the Windsor and Essex region that is approved for international sporting competitions with a FIFA-approved rating.

The football field is surrounded by a world class 400m outdoor track, four long jump pits, a permanent javelin runway and a high jump and shot put area.

The University of Windsor Stadium is available to be rented for a variety of sport and recreation purposes, depending on your facility needs.
