On-Campus Services

Varsity Athletics Mental Health Counsellor

    • Availability: Mondays and Wednesdays (both in-person and virtual sessions)
      • To book an appointment: Complete intake information with the Student Counselling Centre (scc@uwindsor, 519-253-3000, ext 4616). The intake coordinator is instructed to assign student-athletes seeking therapy to their caseload, but students can also specifically ask to see them. The full options available to students, including group therapy, single-session offerings, and short-term individual therapy are all outlined on the Counselling Centre’s website.

Campus-Based Professional Counselling

  • For students on campus that may need mental health support, the Student Counselling Centre or the Student Health Services are available
    • Services: Single session appointments, short-term therapy, and group therapy
    • Hours of operation: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (closed 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm).

Peer Support Office

  • Drop-in centre where students from across campus can find a supportive peer to talk to. It’s a safe and inclusive space where trained peer support volunteers offer peer counselling to students.

Office of Human Rights, Conflict Resolution and Mediation

  • Responsible for education, human rights inquiries and complaints, and assisting in mediation of issues related to human rights, equity, and accessibility.

Canadian Sport Helpline

  • Offers assistance by phone or text to victims or witnesses of harassment, abuse or discrimination in sport
