The Lancer men's hockey team fell to the visiting Toronto Varsity Blues 3-1 on Friday night at South Windsor Arena.

With the loss, the Lancers fall to 11-10-3 on the season and sit in fourth place in the OUA west division, while the Blues improve to 10-12-2.
Â
Toronto's Patrick Marsh opened the scoring with a power play goal assisted by Connor Cleverley and Christian Finch midway through the first period. First-year forward Max Lindsay then potted his sixth goal of the season with 57 seconds remaining to give Toronto a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.
Â
Marsh tallied his second goal of the game just 2:42 into the second frame and Toronto held a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.

Lancers forward
Sebastian Beauregard spoiled the shut out with a goal early in the third period, but the Blues held on for the road victory.
Â
Windsor will look for a very important win on Saturday night against the Ryerson Rams at South Windsor Arena. With just four points separating five teams in the division, a win against the Rams is critical as the season begins to whine down.
Â
Prior to the game the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors
Eric Noel,
Ryan Green,
Brett Babkirk, and
Kenny Bradford. Festivities begin at 7:30pm at South Windsor Arena.Â
