Lancers host 13th annual NCAA/OUA Tip-Off Classic

Windsor, ON - The Windsor men's basketball team will kick-off their annual NCAA/OUA Tip-off Classic next weekend when they host the Jacksonville University Dolphins and Ferris State University Bulldogs.
 
The Lancers will open their exhibition season against Jacksonville on Friday August 11th at 7:00pm and will fow that up the following weekend on Sunday August 20th against the Bulldogs at 4:00pm.
 
Tickets for each game are $5/person with all proceeds going to support the Windsor Lancers men's basketball program. No passes will be honoured for these games and tickets will only be sold at the door.
 
This is the thirteenth consecutive year that head coach Chris Oliver has brought in NCAA competition for late-summer action at the University of Windsor.
 
"These games allows us an opportunity to come together as a team and compete against some top level competition," said Oliver. "We are going to be able to find out early who we are and who we can become."
 
The Dolphins finished the 2016-17 season with a quarter-final appearance at the ASUN Conference Championships, while Ferris State is coming off another successful season after capturing the 2017 GLIAC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Semi-Final.
 
"We are grateful about the opportunity to measure ourselves against an NCAA Division I team and to be able to once again bring another unique experience to our campus and community," Oliver continued.
