The Windsor Lancers men's basketball team hosted Ottawa at the St. Denis Centre, where a poor shooting performance for both teams saw the Lancers fall 62-49.

A strong defensive performance to start the game saw both teams struggle from the field in the first quarter. While only shooting 32%, the Gee-Gee's made four of their 10 attempts from beyond the arc to build a nine point lead.

The second quarter saw the blue and gold tighten up defensively, taking away the three point shot.

Damian Persaud narrowed the Lancer's deficit to only one point with three minutes left in the quarter. After calling a timeout, Ottawa traded points with Windsor to end the half with the Lancers only trailing by five points.

The Gee-Gee's began to pull away in the third frame as the Lancers struggled to control the boards, giving away several defensive rebounds.

The Lancers didn't see much success at the other side of the court either. Shooting only 25% from the field, the Lancers found themselves behind by a 12 point deficit that they would be unable to climb back from.

The poor shooting performance continued for both teams, with neither team shooting above 30% to end the game. The Gee-Gees managed to come out on top, winning 62-49.
