The Windsor Lancers men's soccer team split the weekend to remain at .500 on the season. The Blue and Gold got off to a rough start with a 3-1 loss at Brock but bounced back with an important win against the McMaster Marauders who are tied with the Lancers at 14 points.

SATURDAY vs BROCK
Brock got things off to a start in quite the hurry with Jared Agyemang booking the game's first goal in the second minute of play unassisted. The goal served as a prelude to an offensive game with six shots coming from Brock in the first half. The Lancers countered with three shots of their own but couldn't break through, going into the break down 1-0.

In the 60th minute the Lancers celebrated an equalizer when
Stefan Milidrag beat Brock's Alexander May. The joy was short lived however, the Badgers took the lead again in the 65th minute with a goal by Alexander Makubuya and in the 80th minute the home side scored another to win the game 3-1.

The Badgers outshot the Lancers by a margin of 10-6, while the hosts had five corners in the game to the Lancers' three.

SUNDAY vs McMASTER
The McMaster game proved to be a much different game; one goal proved enough to win as the Lancers escaped Hamilton with a 1-0 decision in tow. Forward
Celso Carapau beat McMasters' Tristan Joyce in the 16th minute of the game.

Carapau led the attack for the day with six shots and five on target, McMaster was paced by Daniel Vincent and his three shots, two of which were on target.

Despite the low score of the game there were plenty of opportunities for goals; McMaster put five shots on goal in the first half and keeper
Greg Chac stood tall for each one. The Lancers also had more opportunities to score but Joyce played well between the posts.

The Lancers defense picked up their effort in the second half, limiting the home side to just two shots on the goal while the Lancers' attack remained consistent, winning the game 2-1.

The Lancers were outshot again on the road, with McMaster registering 15 shots to the Lancers nine.

Windsor's Chac was the best keeper of the match, making nine stops to Tristan Joyce's six.
