The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team was able to bounce back from their 93-92 heartbreaking loss on Friday night to the Queen's Gaels in Kingston to round out the back half of their weekend east of the 401 road trip on Saturday night with an 85-73 victory over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks in Oshawa.

Najee Brown-Henderson capped off his impressive weekend with another solid performance in Oshawa scoring 31 points going 11-17 from the field goal including making 7-9 three-pointer shots and going 2-2 on free throws at the charity stripe. Brown-Henderson also added 9 assists in leading the way for Windsor over Ontario Tech.
Thomas Kennedy also contributed heavily to the offence in the win with 21 points making 8-12 baskets from the field goal and going 5-8 at the foul line in addition to also snagging a game high of 12 rebounds in the Lancer victory.
Yohann Sam also showcased another strong performance with 11 points going 5-9 from field goal and making 1-2 three pointers from beyond the arc.
The Ridgebacks were led by Jaden Cooke who had 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists.
GAME FLOW
The first quarter saw the Lancers jump out to a 24-19 lead over the Ridgebacks by the end of the quarter. Brown-Henderson scored 6 points and 4 assists in the first quarter helping to open up the Lancer lead.
Windsor continued to carry the lead forward despite being outscored by the Ridgebacks 19-17 in the second quarter but went into half time holding a 41-38 over Ontario Tech. Kennedy added 5 points to lead the Lancers in points scored during the second quarter.
The Lancers came out of the gate in the second half firing on all cylinders by dominating the Ridgebacks with made buckets that went on to outscore them 22-14 in the quarter to increase their lead further out of reach for Ontario Tech to comeback as by the end of the third quarter the Lancers opened up an eleven-point margin with a 63-52 Lancer lead still intact. Brown-Henderson had 12 points to bolster the gap while going 3/3 from 3-Point Land leading Windsor's charge into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Lancers were able to hold on by putting up 22 more points, 11 of which came from the hands of Brown-Henderson, against the Ridgebacks 21 points scored as a team and march on to take the eventual victory over the hosts with an 85-73 convincing win in the Shwa.
