Lancers defeated in 100-point battle

The University of Windsor Lancers men's basketball team dropped a 112-101 decision to the Queen's Gaels in their home opener on Friday, October 31 at Toldo Lancer Centre.

GAME FLOW
The Lancers battled closely all game long with Queen's, the Wilson Cup runner up last season, as each quarter was within eight points. The Gaels maintained small leads throughout the game, and only pulled away and cemented the victory late in the fourth quarter to hand the Lancers their first loss of the season.

STATS
Luke Grace had a strong night for Windsor, scoring 31 points on 91% shooting. Yohann Sam had 14 points and Bronson Chambers was the other Lancer with double-digit points, netting 11. Grace's seven rebounds were the most for any Lancer, and the big man added four steals for good measure. Dallas Champagnie Smith's six assists were the most for a member of the blue and gold.

Jakub Dobiech's 30 points were the most for Queen's, followed by 20 from Ollie Engen and 17 from Ashton Bain. Bain had seven rebounds and Tyson Lama's five assists were the Gaels most on the night.
