The University of Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team saw their season come to a close on Friday (Feb. 20) night with a 3–0 loss to the McMaster Marauders at Burridge Gym in Hamilton, Ont. Set scores of 25–16, 25–18, and 25–22 gave the host Marauders a straight-sets victory on their home court, eliminating Windsor from postseason play.
GAME FLOW
McMaster's efficiency on the attack proved to be the difference throughout the match. The Marauders posted a .188 hitting percentage as a team, highlighted by a strong .394 mark in the opening set to seize early momentum. Windsor finished the contest hitting .088 overall, recording 32 kills but unable to string together sustained runs as the match progressed.
STATS
Aliah Admans led the Lancers with eight kills and added 11 digs and two solo blocks in a gritty all-around performance. Aryn Markett and Raiya Millin each contributed six kills, with Millin adding six digs. Jordyn Brearley was particularly efficient, tallying five kills on a .312 hitting percentage along with a solo block and a block assist, while Geneva Huisman chipped in five kills and three total blocks.
Danika Scharff picked up 25 assists and added a service ace, two block assists, and eight digs in a well-rounded effort. Anna Scarfe anchored the defence with a match-high 17 digs as Windsor totalled 53 digs as a team.
McMaster countered with a balanced offensive attack led by Olivia Julien, who recorded 11 kills, two service aces, and 13 digs for a match-high 14.5 points. Abby Delamere added six kills on a .500 hitting percentage, while Maddy Lutes contributed seven kills and Lucie Shaver and Angelika Vidmar each chipped in five. The Marauders also controlled play at the net, combining for 10 total blocks.

This marks the end of the Lancers 2025-26 season. They finished 13-7 (W-L) in the regular season.
