Sean Bookal enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Windsor Lancers men's basketball program.
A native of Toronto, Ontario Bookal spent two years coaching at one of Canada's premier high school basketball programs at Eastern Commerce Collegiate in Toronto, as head coach for the Junior team, and an assistant coach for the Senior team.
Bookal led both junior and senior teams to city championships, and helped guide the seniors to an appearance at the OFSAA championships in 2010.
Prior to joining Eastern Commerce High School, Bookal coached at Humber College where the team went 14-2 in league play, was undefeated in the playoffs, en route to an Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) provincial championship.
He also captured an OCAA title with Humber as an athlete in 2005-2006.
In addition to coaching at the college and high school levels, Bookal has spent considerable time coaching at the Rep. level, and led the Roadrunner Basketball Organization to an Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) Provincial Championship in 2009.
