Nicole Sassine

Nicole, another alumnus of the Lancer Track and Field program, is an assistant coach with the sprints.

Nicole joined the coaching staff 5 years ago following an outstanding career as a Lancer.  In her final season as a Lancer, Nicole was named the  CIS female athlete of the year in track events and captured the Dr. Wendy Jerome Trophy as the OUA’s overall track and field MVP. 

Nicole was a key member of the women’s team during her 5 years when they won 4 OUA Championships and 4 consecutive CIS Championships.

Nicole is ranked #2 All-Time as a Lancer in the 300m and #5 in the 60m.  Following her university career, Nicole went on to represent Canada twice as a member of the 4x400m relay at the 2015 World Championships and the 2015 World Relays.  Nicole has a personal best of 52.25 in the 400m.

Nicole was awarded the DeMarco award at the University of Windsor in 2011-2012 as the top female student-athlete at the University of Windsor and was named a CIS Academic Top 8 student in 2011-2012.
