The CIS all-Canadian had a standout weekend at the national championships, leading the Lancers to their second consecutive CIS team title. The fourth year Windsor native came from behind in two events, to capture the gold medal in both. Bellemore came down the back straightaway, and just narrowly edged out the University of Victoria by .04 second to claim gold in the 4x800m, and then once again came from behind to capture the gold in the final lap of the men's 600m, pulling ahead of CIS track athlete of the year Sacha Smart. Bellemore also claimed a silver medal in the men's 1000m with a time of 2:24.36 en route to being named the CIS Male Athlete of the Meet.
