#3 Lancers defeat Ravens 55-42 on the road in Ottawa

Shavaun Reaney led all scorers with 16 points against Carleton.
Box Score The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball team earned their first road victory of the season with a hard fought 55-42 victory over the Carleton Ravens on Friday night in Ottawa.

With the victory, the #3 ranked Lancers move to 3-0 in conference play.

On Friday night, the Lancers jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter and extended to a 37-23 halftime lead against the Ravens.

The Lancers gained their advantage in the first half thanks to some solid shooting as they finished at 43% from the field, including 38% from long range.

The second half was a hard fought defensive battle as neither team was able to build any momentum at the offensive end.

Windsor got their scoring from guards Shavaun Reaney and Laura Mullins who helped lead their team to the eventual 55-42 victory.

In the victory, Shavaun Reaney led all scorers with 16 points and 3 steals while Laura Mullins added 14 points and 3 rebounds.

Iva Peklova also added 9 rebounds in the victory.

The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday night as they tip-off against the Ottawa Gee Gees at 6pm in Ottawa. The game will be webcast live at www.ssncanada.ca.
