Box Score 1 The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball team extended their winning streak to five games with a 74-71 victory over the Queen's Gaels on Friday night at the St. Denis Centre.

With the victory, the #2 ranked Lancers move to 5-0 on the season.

Friday night's game was also Coats for our Community Night as the Department of Athletics received over 200 coat donations for local families in need this winter.

On the court, the Gaels jumped out to 19-15 first quarter lead as they surprised Windsor with some strong interior play and outside shooting.

The Lancers responded in the second quarter with a 20-8 run of their own to take a 35-27 haltime lead.

The Gaels cut the lead to six in the third quarter before another run in the fourth quarter tied the game up.

Down the stretch, the Lancers knocked down some timely shots and important free throws as they hung on for the 74-71 victory.

Jessica Clemencon led the way again with 16 points and 7 rebounds while Shavaun Reaney added 15 points and 5 rebounds.

As a result of Royal Military College forfeiting Saturday's game, the Lancers now sit with a 6-0 record and atop the OUA West Division standings.

They will be in action next weekend when they travel to Toronto to battle the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues.
