The No. 8 ranked Lancer Men's Basketball team completed a weekend sweep of their first two conference games by defeating the Laurentian Voyageurs 100-77 on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre.

With the victory, the Lancers move to 2-0 in conference play.

Against Laurentian, it was a tight first quarter early on before Windsor began to pull away late in the period to take a 30-23 lead.

The Lancers would build on their early momentum in the second quarter as their superior post play and outside shooting helped them build a 56-38 lead heading into the half.

Laurentian came out hot to start the second half, as they caught the Lancers off guard with some long range shooting that helped to narrow the gap to 62-54.

However, the home team proved to have too much fire power on the night as they dominated the final ten minutes of the game to win handily, 100-77.

For the Lancers, they were led by Isaac Kuon who finished with a game high 24 points.

The duo of Nigel Johnson-Tyghter and Andre Smyth each had outstanding games as both registered double-doubles. Johnson-Tyghter had 17 points and a game high 14 rebounds, while Smyth contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Laurentian was led by Emanuel Pasquale with 20 points.

The Lancers dominated the boards, outrebounding Laurentian 50-25 overall. Windsor shot an even 50%percent from the field, and went 11 for 19 from behind the three.

Windsor will take to the road next weekend as they head up to the nation's capitol to face the No. 1 ranked Carleton Ravens on Friday night and the Ottawa Gee Gees on Saturday evening.
