Box Score The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team was upset by the Waterloo Warriors 83-74 on Wednesday night at the St. Denis Centre.
With the loss, the Lancers are now 8-3 in conference play and remain in second place in the OUA West Division.
On Wednesday night, Windsor held a 22-18 lead after one quarter of play before the Warriors responded with a big run in the second quarter.
The visiting Warriors used some hot shooting from long range to outscore the Lancers 32-15 in the second quarter and lead 50-37 at the break.
The second half went back and forth with neither team about to put together a big run. The Lancers had trouble mounting a consistent offensive attack for most of the night and struggled shooting from long range.
Windsor cut the lead to eight on a couple of occasions but that was as close as they would get, eventually falling 83-74.
Nigel Johnson-Tygther led the Lancer scoring attack with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Enrico Diloreto finished with 15 points.
The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Hamilton, Ontario to take on the McMaster Marauders. Tip-off is set for 3pm.
