Women's Basketball knocks off Badgers 72-50 on the road

Box Score The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball team defeated the Brock Badgers 72-50 on Saturday afternoon on the road in St. Catherines, Ontario.

With the victory, the #3 ranked Lancers move to 13-1 on the season and remain in first place in the OUA West Division.

On Saturday, the Lancers broke out to an early 7-point lead in the first quarter en route to a 39-24 halftime lead over the Badgers.

Coach Vallee's squad was never seriously challenged as they outscored Brock 23-14 in the third quarter to earn the 72-50 victory.

In the win, Jessica Clemencon led all scorers with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Emily Abbott added 16 points while Shavaun Reaney and Raelyn Prince finished with 10 points apiece.

The Lancers will be back in action next weekend when they host the Lakehead Thunderwolves for a weekend series at the St. Denis Centre.

Saturday night's game will be part of "Pack the Place Pink" as the Department of Athletics hosts their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend.
