Lancers sweep Queen's and RMC to end interlock competition

The No. 1 Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball team swept their opponents on the weekend with a pair of victories over the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins in Kingston.
 
Windsor has now completed their interlock play and enter the holiday break with a 7-1 record and in first place in the OUA West Division.
 
On Friday night, Jessica Clemencon tallied a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Lancers to a 77-58 win over the Queen's Gaels.
 
The Lancers improved to 6-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents by double digits in each of their six wins.
 
Windsor held Queen's to only 10 points in the second quarter and built a 44-27 lead at the half. Another outstanding defensive effort by Windsor in the third held the Gaels to only 11 points on their way to the nineteen point victory.
 
The Lancers had four players score in double figures, including Bojana Kovacevic with 14 points, Miah-Marie Langlois with 13 and Morgan Jean with 10. Windsor also shot 45% from the field against Queen's.
 
On Saturday afternoon, Windsor completed the weekend sweep as they cruised to a 95-41 win over the host RMC Paladins.
 
After taking the lead at the break, the Lancers outscored the Paladins 58-14 in the second half to secure the victory.

Windsor was again led by Jessica Clemencon who finished with 29 points and 9 rebounds. Bojana Kovacavic also netted 20 points in the win.

The Lancers will now break from regular season play until January 5th when they travel to London to face the Western Mustangs at 6pm.
