Women's Basketball dominates Warriors on the road in Waterloo

After a week off the court, the No. 2 ranked Lancer Women's Basketball team dominated the Waterloo Warriors 82-45 on Saturday afternoon in Waterloo.
 
The Lancers are now 9-2 on the season and are tied for second in the OUA West with the Laurier Golden Hawks.  
 
Windsor jumped to a quick 20-8 lead after just 10 minutes of play. The Warriors found their feet in the second quarter giving the Lancers their toughest quarter of the game.
 
In the second half, Windsor continued to dominate the Warriors both offensively and defensively to put the game out of reach.
 
The Lancers outrebounded the Warriors 38-25.
 
Jessica Clemencon had a game high 19 points and 9 rebounds for Windsor.
 
Windsor will now look for revenge against the Western Mustangs on “Rivalry Night” on Wednesday night at the St. Denis Centre at 6:00pm. In their previous meeting two weeks ago, the Mustangs narrowly defeated the Lancers 57-54.
