Box Score The No. 1 Windsor Lancers women's basketball team got back to their winning ways with a convincing 84-56 victory over the Brock Badgers on Saturday night at the St. Denis Centre.
Bojana Kovacevic scored five of the Lancers first ten points, as Windsor went on a 10-0 run to open the game.
The scrappy Brock Badgers rallied late in the quarter to bring close the score, and Windsor ended the quarter only up by one, 16-15.
Iva Peklova put in a phenomenal effort to start of the second quarter, going on a 9-0 herself to build the Lancer lead.
Windsor was able to build on this lead with some excellent shooting and went into the half almost doubling the Badgers 44-24
It was then
Jessica Clemencon's time to shine as she turned in a dominating second half performance scoring 13 of her 17 points in the second half.
Head Coach Chantal Vallée rested many starters during the fourth quarter as Windsor able to cruise to a dominating 84-56 win over the Badgers.
Leading the way for the Lancers was
Jessica Clemencon with 17 points, including a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
Miah-Marie Langlois also propelled the Lancers to victory recording a double-double contributing 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lancers will now head to Hamilton to face the McMaster Marauders on January 12th at 6:00pm.
Windsor returns home on Wednesday January 19th when they play host to the No. 5 Western Mustangs.
