Box Score The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team turned in a dominating performance on Saturday night as they defeated the York Lions 80-56 at the St. Denis Centre.
With the victory, the No. 6 ranked Lancers move to 2-0 in conference play.
On Saturday night the home team that got off to a great start as Windsor jumped out to an early 19-4 lead on the strength of Enrico DiLoreto's hot shooting. DiLoreto went 4-4 from the field including three 3-pointers en route to 12 first half points.
In the second quarter, the Lancers continued to dominate the Lions from the field and on offensive rebounds to build a commanding 43-21 lead heading into the break.
The Lions rebounded in the third quarter as they outscored the Lancers 16-13, capitalizing on a number of Lancer turnovers.
Despite these turnovers,
Josh Collins and Junior Osuntola made sure the game stayed with the Lancers as they paced Windsor in the fourth quarter to an 80-56 win.
In the win, Diloreto once again led all scorers with 18 points.
Lien Phillip had the game's only double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Rookie Junior Osuntola had a strong game in his second regular season appearance with 16 points and 9 rebounds.
Windsor will hit the road next weekend to take on the No. 1 ranked Carleton Ravens.
