No. 2 Lancers squeak by No. 4 Ravens

The No. 2 nationally ranked Windsor Lancers women's basketball team came out with a 55-51 victory over the No. 4 ranked Carleton Ravens Saturday night at the Ravens' Nest.

Windsor had a 21-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and held on to it for the remainder of the game. It was a close game throughout though, with Carleton outscoring Windsor 8-7 in the second and both teams scoring 13 in the third.

The Lancers increased their lead to 10 points with less than three minutes to go, but the Ravens hit two threes in under a minute to make it a close game once again. The Lancers held on for the four-point victory.

Windsor out-rebounded Carleton 38-30 in the victory.

Jessica Clemencon scored a game-high 14 points for the Lancers, while Kendall MacLeod and Elizabeth Roach led the Ravens with 10 points each.

Windsor remains on the road for one more week as they head to Toronto to play a pair of games against Ryerson and Toronto.
