The Lancer Women's Basketball team is set to host their annual Holiday Classic Tournament at the end of December at the St. Denis Centre.
Coach Vallée and the Lancers will host three teams from across the CIS in a three day tournament from December 28-30 in Windsor.
Travelling to Windsor over the holiday break will be the University of Fraser Valley from Canada West, Bishop's University from Quebec and the Ryerson Rams from the OUA.
The #2 nationally ranked Lancers enter the tournament with a 6-2 record to start their season, and are led by CIS female athlete of the year Jessica Clemençon with 14.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg.
Fraser Valley, currently sit tied for first overall in their conference with a 5-3 overall record. They are led by Nicole Wierks who is averaging 13.2 ppg and Tessa Klassen who is averaging 11.9 ppg.
Ryerson comes into the tournament with a 3-5 record and sit in 6th place in the OUA East conference. The Lancers will need to keep a close eye on standout Ashley MacDonald who is currently second in OUA scoring and fifth in the CIS at 20.4 ppg.
At an even 2-2, Bishop's sits in third place overall in the Quebec conference, and are led by Gabrielle Chamberland with 13 ppg
The Lancer Holiday Classic Tournament kicks off on December 28th at 5pm as the Rams open the tournament against Fraser Valley. The Lancers will follow at 7pm when they take on Bishops at the St. Denis Centre.
Tickets for the tournament are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and can be purchased at the door starting one hour prior to the first tip-off. Children under the age of 12 are free.
Tournament passes are also available for purchase at the door. A ticket for all six games can be purchased for $12 for adults and $8 for students.
