Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball head coach Chantal Vallée raised the bar in the OUA today as she captured her 60th regular season win over a three year time span.

The victory saw the Lancers defeat the Laurier Golden Hawks 66-60 in Waterloo.

With the win, Vallée surpasses McMaster's Theresa Burns who previously held the mark with 59 wins, which she captured between the 2005-08 seasons.

The Lancers still have two regular season games remaining in their schedule, which gives Vallée the chance to raise the new OUA standard to an incredible 62 wins over three consecutive seasons.

On Saturday, W
indsor got off to a strong start as they led 24-16 after the first quarter. The Golden Hawks battled back in the second and trailed the Lancers 34-32 at the break.

T
he third quarter continued to be tight as Windsor held a slight edge over the Hawks heading into the final ten minutes.

In the fourth, the Lancers took control of the game as they went 5-for-6 down the stretch to pull away from the Hawks and earn Vallée the new OUA record.

The Lancers were led on the scoresheet by Jessica Clemencon who finished with 18 points. Bojana Kovacevic added 15 points and Raelyn Prince contributed 12 points.

The Lancers will head back to the St. Denis Centre on Wednesday for their final regular season contest against the McMaster Marauders. Prior to the 6pm tip-off, the Lancers will honour their graduating seniors in a pre-game ceremony.
