Box Score The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball had no problem picking up their twelfth straight win as they disposed of the McMaster Marauders 79-65 on Wednesday night at the St. Denis Centre.
With the victory, the #2 ranked Lancers move to 19-2 in conference play and remain in first place in the the OUA West standings.
Windsor got 18 points and 7 rebounds from Miah Langlois and 9 points and 13 rebounds from
Raelyn Prince as they knocked off McMaster at the St. Denis Centre.
The evening was also Senior Night for the Lancers as the women's team paid tribute to 5th year senior
Raelyn Prince and senior transfers
Heather Angus and
Morgan Jean.
On Wednesday night, he Lancers led 22-17 after one quarter of play and extended their advantage to seven points at the break, as they led 40-33.
The Marauders struggled to contain the interior play of the Lancers as the duo of
Jessica Clemencon and
Raelyn Prince dominated in the paint.
Windsor built their lead to 14 points after three quarters of play and cruised to the 79-65 win in their final home regular season game of the year.
Jessica Clemencon chipped in with 17 points while
Bojana Kovacevic added 11 points and 5 assists in the victory.
The Lancers will now travel to Guelph on Saturday to battle the Gryphons in the final regular season game before the playoffs.
Windsor will then receive a bye through the OUA West quarter-finals and will host the OUA West Final Four on February 26th and 27th at the St. Denis Centre. The Lancers will play at 2pm on Saturday, Feb. 26th in one OUA West Semi-Final with the OUA West Championship game scheduled for Sunday at 4pm in Windsor.
