Box Score Head Coach Chantal Vallée and the No. 2 ranked Lancer women's basketball team posted their twelfth straight victory on Wednesday night, with a dominating 87-54 win over the visiting Laurier Golden Hawks at the St. Denis Centre.
With the win, Windsor is now 16-2 in regular season play and remains atop the standings in the OUA West division.
The Lancers' offense dominated the Golden Hawks to start the game as Windsor took a commanding 25-6 lead after the first quarter.
Laurier found their footing in the second as they went point for point with Windsor, as the Lancers outshot the Hawks by one in the quarter. Heading into the break, the Lancers held a commanding twenty-point lead, 46-26.
Windsor maintained their consistent shooting throughout the second and capitalized on some Laurier's errors to maintain their lead and earn the win.
The Lancers shot an impressive 49.3% from the field compared to the Hawks 36.4%, and earned 46 of their 87 points from in the paint.
