Box Score The Lancer men's basketball team was edged 90-85 by the Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday night at the PAC Centre in Waterloo.
With the loss, the Lancers are now 12-7 on the season and sit in fourth place in the OUA West division with three games remaining in the regular season.
Waterloo only held a one point lead after the first quarter but went on a 14-0 run in the second to hold a 46-39 lead at the half.
The Lancer battled back in the second, outscoring the host team 25-18 in the third to tie the game at 64 heading into the final quarter. In the end, the Warriors perfect shooting from the free throw line, and their consistency from behind the arch gave them the win over the Lancers.
Lien Phillip led the Lancers with 24 points and a remarkable 19 rebounds. Junior Osuntola had 23 points and 5 rebounds in the loss, while Josh Colins chipped in 14 points and
Evan Matthews had 10.
Windsor will head back to Waterloo on Saturday to face the Laurier Golden Hawks at 4:00pm.
