Women's Basketball dominates Warriors on the road Wednesday night

Box Score The No. 2 CIS-ranked Windsor Lancers jumped out to an early lead Wednesday night and didn't look back en route to a dominant 107-57 win over the Waterloo Warriors at the PAC Centre.
 
Leading 27-16 after the first quarter, the Lancers held the Warriors to just eleven second-quarter points and carried a 55-27 lead into the half. Windsor continued to dominate Waterloo throughout the second half, and improved to a league-leading 18-2 with the win. The Warriors fell to 1-18 on the season.
 
Jessica Clemencon was the top scorer for the Lancers Wednesday night, tallying 29 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field, and 11-12 shooting from the line. She also added seven rebounds. Bojana Kovacevic had 18 points and nine rebounds for Windsor, while Iva Peklova had eight boards.
 
As a team, the Lancers went 55.6% (35-for-63) from the field and 92.9% (26-for-28) from the free throw line, while the Warriors shot 40.0% (20-for-50) overall, and 36.8% (7-for-19) from three-point range. Windsor dominated the boards, outrebounding the Warrior women 44-7 on the night.
 
The Lancers will hit the road for their final away game of the season, as they travel back to Waterloo on Saturday to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks at 2:00pm.
