Box Score GUELPH, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers women's basketball team continued its dominant run through the regular season on Saturday afternoon, topping the Guelph Gryphons 68-53 on the road.
The Lancers (13-0) remain tied for first place in the OUA West division with the Brock Badgers, who were also victorious on Saturday against Laurier. The Gryphons lost their sixth straight contest, falling to 4-8 on the season. Windsor earned its second win over Guelph, having defeated them 87-54 at the St. Denis Centre on January 5.
Jessica Clemencon had a game-high 24 points, while adding nine rebounds in the win, and
Korissa Williams picked up 18 points and eight boards for the Lancers, who shot 37.7% on the afternoon. The Gryphons were led by Erica McFadden who tallied 11points while Jasmine Douglas had a game-high 13 rebounds in a losing cause.
The Lancers will return to the St. Denis Centre on Wednesday evening, where they will welcome the McMaster Marauders for a mid-week affair. The teams will meet exactly one week after the Lancers topped the Marauders 56-48 in Hamilton this past Wednesday, January 16.
