No. 5 Lancers streak to fifth-straight win

Box Score WATERLOO, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers men's basketball team are on the longest winning streak of their season, taking home their fifth straight victory with an 83-71 triumph over the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

Enrico Diloreto picked up a team-high 18 points while Josh Collins and Lion Phillip each added 15 in the victory for the Lancers, who started this current win streak with a victory over the Warriors at the St. Denis Centre on January 13.  The Lancers shot 42.5% from the field, but had to hold off an upstart Waterloo squad that worked at a 47.2% efficiency.  However, the Lancers shot over 50% from beyond the arc, tallying 14 three-pointers that helped spur them to victory.

The win preserves Windsor's spread at the top of the OUA West division, as they will come out of the weekend with at least a two-game lead over the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

Windsor will head to Western for a mid-week match-up with the Mustangs this coming Wednesday, and are back at the St. Denis Centre next Saturday, February 2 when they will host the Brock Badgers.
