Lancers top Western, will host Brock on Saturday

Box Score LONDON, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers women's basketball team rolled to its 16th straight victory of the season by topping the rival Western Mustangs 78-49 on Wednesday evening. 

Jessica Clemencon tallied a game-high 15 points as four Lancers hit double-digits on the evening.  Miah-Marie Langlois and Laura Mullins each recorded 12 points, and Mullins grabbed a contest-high nine rebounds while Korisaa Williams added 10 points in the victory.

The Lancers (16-0) shot 45.6% from the field while holding the Mustangs to just 29.4% efficiency.  The No. 1 squad in the country dominated the glass, recording 57 rebounds compared to 33 from Western.  Annabel Hancock tallied 10 points in a losing cause for the Mustangs (8-8), who drop to the .500 mark and are in a tie for third place with Laurier and McMaster heading into the weekend's games. 

On Saturday, the Lancers will welcome second-place Brock (15-1) for a matinee contest that will pit the top squads in the West division against one another for the first time this season.  The No. 7 Badgers were undefeated until last Saturday when they fell 63-38 to McMaster. 

Saturday's game gets underway at 3:00 p.m., and will be broadcast live online at USTREAM's Lancers TV.
